Hidden preferences and how to set them

The Archive has a couple of settings that you cannot change from the graphical user interface.

If you want to create a simple settings dashboard, you can use the thearchive:// URL scheme in one of your notes inside of The Archive. There, you can click the links to change settings -- no terminal needed.

For example, try to paste these into a note:

Pasted image filename without spaces: thearchive://preference/pastedImageFilename/set/yyyyMMdd'_image'
Pasted image filename without date: thearchive://preference/pastedImageFilename/set/'pasted-image'
Pasted image filename reset: thearchive://preference/pastedImageFilename/delete

ID's accurate to seconds: thearchive://preference/identifierDateFormat/set/yyyyMMddHHmmss
ID's accurate to minutes: thearchive://preference/identifierDateFormat/set/yyyyMMddHHmm  (original)
ID's accurate to days: thearchive://preference/identifierDateFormat/set/yyyyMMdd
ID reset: thearchive://preference/identifierDateFormat/delete

Then you can play around with different formats.

Note: Most of these settings don't actually require a relaunch of the app, but if something doesn't work, quit and open the app again if in doubt.

Hi @ctietze ,

unfortunately it does not work as desired.
No matter which of the commands you want to execute, the following error message appears.

After my open discussion, I found more sources in the forum and came across this one here. However, there are also other open questions on the subject, because @romanr also has the same problem in this discussion.

Could you please take another look at this?
In my case, as described in the thread, it is about adding the seconds in the UID and deactivate the scroll position.

You're up to date! The Archive 1.8.0 is currently the newest version available.
