Is it better to have separate ZK vault for different purpose? Like for Technical engineering notes

I am taking classes on programming and cloud engineering. It seems difficult to store the info in an existing ZK vault as they don’t look related to what I want to do with ZK - which is to think about what I read.

    It depends on what software you are using. I use and am quite familiar with NotePlan. I have several different "vaults" of information, one for technical (engineering) information, one for personal history, one for health and one for a daily journal / plan. Each one is stored in its own, high level folder. But that doesn't stop me from linking from a note in one "vault" to a note in another "vault", as it's all being managed by NotePlan.

    Other software has similar capabilities.

    If compartmentalizing things in such a manner helps you to think clearly about the different areas of your life, all to the better!

    @notetaker from my practice I cannot report any trouble with mixed topics in one vault.

    I remember being worried in the beginning somewhat, though.

    With scale, the way you interact with notes will change anyway, and then you may realize that it doesn't matter how many unrelated topics live in the vault because the entry points are topic-specific and by your own design anyway. (→ Structure notes)

    If you don't yet have gone beyond 1k notes, I wouldn't worry.

    How do you store your structure notes so that they are not lost in the seas of atomic notes?
