If you are software agnostic, one option is to use the Windows' own functions: Notepad.
You can use Notepad + AstroGrep.
Changing the font in Notepad improves readability. (examples: Consolas, Source Code Pro, etc.)
AstroGrep can do full-text searches. You can use it like The Archive by switching to the AstroGrep screen pressing Alt + Tab in Notepad and then pressing Ctrl + F to paste the UID.
You can also copy the list searched in AstroGrep. (You know, copying the list is not possible in Windows Explorer.) Using This, you can easily create a structure note. Check this link for how to create a Structure Note: https://zettelkasten.de/posts/zk-live-episode-4-structure/
About AstroGrep: If your *.txt file is ANSI type, full-text search may not be possible. I changed it to UTF-8 and it worked.
P.S.
I'm using Gnome Shell on Fedora Linux for Zettelkasten. Very convenient.
The title of this thread should be changed to "Windows-debased version of The Archive." I like Zettlr, though the Sirens of Brain Prosthesis call again...

If the issue is [[UID]] links, I can recommend sublimeless_zk or Obsidian with Front Matter Title plugin.

Or Zettlr.
Or logseq
Yes; I've actually switched over to Logseq now and am really liking it.
According to Sascha and Christian's comments on the forum, there are no plans.

Now that Christian has a baby, their plans may be delayed further.

I like Zettlr too, but the plug for stopping the dancing text is insufficient for me. Besides, more themes.
So 1,2, and 3...
