Zettlr and Flow Diagram
So looking at some of the other software that people use for their ZK's. Many of them have the ability to show connections graphically in a node-link diagram. (I think Obsidian calls it a Flow Graph or Chart.)
I currently use Zettlr and absolutely love it as a ZK but I would love to be able to have the ability to create a chart like this and visualize my links graphically.
Any tips or tricks to do this would be fantastic.

Check out the vizel tool:

or a more bare bones visualization script I used for my "Range" videos:

Thank you This is what I was looking for. I do not even know where to start getting these installed etc. and working with Zettlr. Any suggestions or a direction you could point me in would be amazing.
I would like to add that I am a Windows user and most of the information on this is geared towards a mac user.
vizel will very likely also work on Windows, but installing command line tools is a bit more tricky there, I agree.
Here's how to get Python for Windows, a prerequisite for vizel: https://www.howtogeek.com/197947/how-to-install-python-on-windows/

I have python installed. Not sure how to install of run vizel. there is no documentation on this
Also in the readme it says that all of the markdown files need to be in a single directory. What if they are in a sub directory. My Notebox is divided into several smaller boxes as sub directories. will this still work?
I have python installed, Vizel installed and Graphviz is installed.
How do I run the commands. everytime I type vizel it says that the syntax is not recognized. I am completely new to python
If you use a tool that converts Markdown to HTML, you can use one of the JavaScript libraries - so that all of this visualization can be done in the browser, without installing any of its tools locally.
See examples.
As far as a graphical representation of the zettelkasten goes, org-roam and org-roam-server is amazing.
I'm not a programmer, so it took me a while to get everything running but I eventually figured it out. If someone is more skilled, it will probably go a lot faster.
I'm on Mac but here's Windows guide:

After reconfiguring all my .md notes into .org files and running experiments, I decided to stick with The Archive and markdown for the zettelkasten.
