Cut-replace with spaces Alfred/applescripts help
Hi,
I've recently started using a zettelkasten having previously used nvalt and onenote. Porting over my notes with pandoc is excellent as per, however some of the tables need a little tweaking. I was thinking that a useful tool would be to have a hotkey which cut selected text, replacing it with the same number of spaces rather than leaving empty space. This would allow text in markdown tables to be manipulated without disrupting the rest of the cells.
However, my programming experience is limited to simple text manipulation python scripts run from the terminal - if anyone is able to create or point me in the right direction in creating such a hotkey programme using alfred, applescripts, automator or something else this would be much appreciated!
