    It is complicated to summarize Zettelkasten in a single word. Rhizome comes to my mind.

    Thinking if I need to choose one of yours.

  • @Edmund did you mine your texts for nouns or are the lists created manually?

    My notes with terms are tagged as #type/term. Here’s my script to create a list sorted by month and year:

    const { DateTime } = dv.luxon;

    function parseCreated(v) {
      if (!v) return null;
      if (v.isLuxonDateTime) return v;
      const s = String(v).trim();

      for (const f of ["yyyy-MM-dd, HH:mm", "yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm", "yyyy-MM-dd"]) {
        const d = DateTime.fromFormat(s, f);
        if (d.isValid) return d;
      }
      return null;
    }

    const items = dv.pages("#type/term")
      .where(p => String(p.rating ?? "").includes("⭐"))
      .values
      .map(p => ({ p, d: parseCreated(p.created) }));

    const valid = items
      .filter(i => i.d)
      .sort((a, b) => a.p.file.name.localeCompare(b.p.file.name));
    const invalid = items.filter(i => !i.d);

    const byYear = dv.array(valid)
      .groupBy(i => i.d.year)
      .sort(g => g.key, "desc");

    for (const y of byYear) {
      dv.header(2, y.key);

      const byMonth = y.rows
        .groupBy(i => i.d.toFormat("MM"))
        .sort(m => m.key, "desc");

      for (const m of byMonth) {
        dv.header(3, `${y.key}-${m.key}`);
        dv.table(
          ["Term", "Definition", "In"],
          m.rows.map(i => [i.p.file.link, i.p.lead, i.p.file.inlinks.length])
        );
      }
    }

    if (invalid.length) {
      dv.header(2, "No valid date");
      dv.table(
        ["Term", "created"],
        invalid.map(i => [i.p.file.link, i.p.created ?? "(missing)"])
      );
    }

    The resulting structure note shows a filtered list of terms including the number of incoming links:
