Can I use this to Zettelkasten? Writer: The Internet Typewriter
I have a rather confusing computer work-flow. I switch from pc to ipad and iphone as if they were friendly entities.
I have settled on an app that has forever allowed me to write blissfully and even feverishly. It is https://writer.bighugelabs.com/ an online app that I bought a lifetime membership about 9 years ago (yeah lots of notes). I have started a zettelkasten in other apps (zettlr, featherwiki, logseq and tangent) nothing brings me the joy of just writing.
I mostly use WIT for streams of consciousness writing, with a stories, and information. I rarely use it as a grocery list or something of the sort.
Can I use it for archiving, if so, what link method should I use? I just noticed that, yes, I can search tasks.

It really depends on how your data is stored and accessed. From a quick look at the Writer website, it seems that they store your data on their server but not on your computer. If you want the information on your computer, you can export files in different formats. That's not very amenable to a Zettelkasten, as you'd have to be constantly exporting and updating files to your own computer, and then use some different app (like The Archive) on your computer to look at and navigate around your ZK.
Given my simple understanding of how Writer works with files, the manner in which you set up your files: file names, first line (titles) and links, would all depend on what app you used on your own computer. I have migrated my ZK between apps several times, so I have some knowledge of this.
It's not impossible to work in this way, especially if you used your ZK only occasionally. But it would take some thinking about the design of your file system in the context of the above-noted items. Also, since you have many notes already, you'd probably have to make some changes so that they are consistent and compatible with your ZK. You likely don't want to do that manually, but if you have some rudimentary programming skills (e.g., in Python), it wouldn't be too onerous to modify your existing files.
Feel free to direct message me (through the forum) if you want to discuss this in more detail.
