Hello everybody! I am a lurker no more! I am an early-career music teacher at a Kindergarten thru Second Grade school in the U.S. I am interested in using Zettelkasten to improve my understanding of music teaching and learning, as well as aid in graduate studies that I might pursue in the near future. My current barrier is building the regular habit of writing in my Zettelkasten, which for now lives in Obsidian.
Current research interests: music teaching and learning, Kodály method, folk music, social change, childhood development, mental health.
Music interests: I studied trombone at college, but now I mostly play piano and ukulele while I teach my students. I mostly listen to genres like alt rock and electronic pop, but my partner has introduced me to the wonderful world of Carnatic music.
Hobbies: Reading fiction, video games (right now I am playing Hades on PC), drawing pulli kolam, nature trails, lifting weights.

Welcome to the forum. We all learn from each other here, and that is already shown by your post as there are some terms there that are new to me... Kodály method, Carnatic music, pulli kolam.
I have unfortunately not maintained a creative arts side to my life, but it's something I would like to get back into in the future.
