Structure notes are like assembly

I often think that structure notes are like the picture below.

Datasaurus Dozen

Datasaurus

The points are atomic zettels, and the distributions are structure notes. The shape changes depending on how you assemble the points.

P.S. It has nothing to do with the meaning of Datasaurus Dozen. :sunglasses:

Yes, it could be a way of seeing them.

A structure note can express an "higher order meaning", the dinosaur or circle or star you obtain once you have composed a bunch of atomic notes.

I've many "molecular notes" (I prefer call them in this way, rather than structure note, when the composition express an higher-order concept) that grow over time according to this model.
Composition of atomic notes in higher order notes (molecule, or structure) is a foundation idea in my zettelkasten interpretation.

In the classic interpretation of structure note that higher order meaning is a "topic", or a "task", or a "bunch", but very often in my interpretation is really a... complex idea on its own.

  • @andang76 I like that you call "molecular notes"
