How to move from "Concepts" to "Thoughts"

Hello!

This is my first post, and mostly because I started to work on my Zettelkasten this week thanks to some friends online that talked me after explaining my problems being consistent with Obsidian.

In general, I like the method as presented, and I like the structure of it. But I'm starting to have a problem with how I tend to process information.

The objective with my Zettelkasten is twofold for now: Study international politics [that is a current focus on my career] and help me into organizing and being creative with my TTRPG games [currently 2 Ars Magica games and 1 Wildsea one], at the side I have personal projects of creative writing, but I have not even thought about putting them in the Zettelkasten.

I feel my biggest problem right now is that the Zettelkasten is currently being fill with "Source Notes" [as someone called them], that means that, for example, I have a note that is "Fundamental agreement between the Holy See and the State of Israel", and in that note I have mostly:

"This [[treaty]] was agreed on December 1993 between the [[Holy See]] and the [[State of Israel]] as a demonstration of the growing interest in the co-existence of catholics and jews. Its 15 Articles are:

  1. The Holy See and State of Israel agree that..."

And I start from there to basically abstract and brief for myself what each article is about.

In a similar way, as you can see, I have a note that is literally "treaty" and in there I mostly describe what a treaty is and then hyperlink to the types of treaties.

Everything is very informative [in the sense of the difference between Knowledge and Information], and while I don't feel satisfy with it, as I understand this isn't using the full power of what a Zettelkasten can do, I feel very lost in how to transform this way to store information into thoughts and knowledge, as I feel my relationship with these types of things has always been very "definition oriented", the word treaty has a meaning and that is what I care about, to explain in some way.

Thanks, and I hope this first post not being too disruptive.
