Zettelkasten for MacBook / Ventura 13.4.1?

Dear all,
I hope this is the right forum for my question: I want to install Zettelkasten on my MacBook (MacOS Ventura 13.4.1), but when I try to open the app after downloading it, I always get the error notice "Zettelkasten ist beschädigt und kann nicht geöffnet werden." (Zettelkasten is damaged and cannot be opened.) Any ideas what might be wrong?

    Not sure which app that is or where you downloaded it from , but this error usually happens when the app is

    1. so old it's running 32bit code and you're on a 64bit M1/M2 Mac, or
    2. the .app is not "signed" (most likely scenario)

    Try right-clicking it in Finder, then holding shift while you click "Open".

    This will bring up a "do you really want to try this untrusted app?" prompt.

    Thanks for your quick answer!
    I downloaded it yesterday from here: http://zettelkasten.danielluedecke.de/, should be the newest version. I tried to right-click it in Finder, hodling shift and click open, but somehow it remains "damaged". But yes, it seems the problem is with the "signed"-status. I'll try my luck at the local Apple store next week, hope they can help in opening the app by suspending the safety settings (I tried following the instructions of the pop-up info, but it's still blocked).

    @beda I hope you realize that you are asking the authors of "The Archive" to troubleshoot a program written by someone else for you. Why don't you just try out "The Archive"? You can find out about it here: https://zettelkasten.de/the-archive/

    @GeoEng51 oh thanks, yes, I didn't realize it, I thought it is all about the Zettelkasten I saw on a friend's PC... my apologies! I'll try The Archive :)
