Can Archive be synced?
Hello everyone,
I'm new here. I just want to ask a very simple question. Can Archive be synced into cloud or something? Since I'm afraid that if my Mac breaks down, I'll lose all of my notes.
Look forward to your reply.

@Jasminejiang88 Yes, The Archive just manages a folder of text files for you. You can change the folder from the app's preferences. Point it to a folder managed by your cloud syncing service of choice (Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive, ...)

Thank you so much for your reply. I moved the folder to my google drive. I created a new Archive folder in my google drive. But as you said, when I opened it, it's empty. And I don't know how to open the previous notes in new Archive. I know I can open these notes if I switch the archives to previous one. But what if I want to use a second computer? These notes are still there, but they are just text files, which means that I cannot search them in the Archive. That's what I'm worried about here.
Be sure and point The Archive on both computers to the same Google Drive folder. Use the "Switch Archives..." menu option and "Select Archive Directory ..." selecting the folder on your Google Drive.
Don't worry, be happy!
The notes should be "just text files". Text files are the only thing that The Archive can search.
I hope I didn't misunderstand your problem. If I did, let me know.

My zettelkasten is for my ideas, not the ideas of others. I don’t want to waste my time tinkering with my ZK; I’d rather dive into the work itself. My peak cognition is behind me. One day soon, I will read my last book, write my last note, eat my last meal, and kiss my sweetie for the last time.

The original location is
~/Documents/Notes (The Archive)
, i.e. a folder automatically created in your Documents folder. In Finder, you can copy the files from there to your Google Drive-synced folder.
