Debug menu?

I am running Version 1.6.3 (187) of The Archive. At the end of the menus in the menu bar, after Help, is "Debug" with a submenu of "Toggle Markdown." What is this there for and is it possible to remove it?

Thanks for reporting this! When you are participating in the Cutting Edge update channel, this menu is added when you launch the app.

Once you switch to Release-only builds and restart the app, the menu will go away.
