Can I use The Archive with a document camera?

Hi,

I have a Jourist DC80 connected to my Mac, and I want to use it with The Archive. Unfortunately, The Archive always immediately uses my webcam and does not allow me to select which camera to use.

Can I achieve this, somehow?

Hello Matthias - welcome to the forum, if this is your first time.

My immediate thought would be that you go to "System Preferences" on your Mac and select which camera you want to use there. Oops - there doesn't seem to be a setting for video, like there is for most other hardware (sound, printers, keyboard, mouse, displays, etc.)

When you hooked up your camera to the Mac, did it install any drivers or is there an icon for it in your system tray?

I don't think you would be selecting that camera from within The Archive; it must be done from the Mac OS itself.
