The Unconscious Reasons We Do What We Do

The book connects Descartes principle "Cogito, ergo sum" with the Darwin theory. Our consciousness is organized in subsystems (three, for starters). Much of our thinking is influenced by our evolutionary past. In many ways, the way we perceive reality is outdated, because priorities for our life have changed over the millions of years.
Our Zettelkasten is going through a similar process. It evolves over time. It shows traces of the past that don't reflect the recent state of the context it was reflected on. Much like our consciousness a Zettelkasten must develop different levels of perception to maintain efficiency.
