    You will have the following use cases:
    You browse your archive with a very broad idea of what you need.
    You browse your archive with a specific idea of what you need.
    You want to use that Zettel as a text on its own.
    You want to use that Zettel as a part of a text.

    I will note that 1 and 2 are use cases for information retrieval, and 3 and 4 are use cases for what I guess I'll call information "repurposing" (i.e. use of existing note text for a purpose other than the ZK).

    But the ZK also has potential functions in information encoding (i.e. writing a zettel in a standardized way affects how you think about and capture the information) and information generation (i.e. putting the zettel into the ZK idea structure through IDs or links creates new ideas/information).

    Were the use cases meant to be exclusive?
