Unable to disable ligatures in The Archive

When setting the font in The Archive using the fonts panel, you can open the typography panel. From there, I uncheck ligatures, but unchecking the box doesn't do anything. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't mind ligatures, but I find them a bit weird when using a monospaced font.

    Does the font you are using provide the two alternatives (with and without ligatures)? In other words, is the error that the font panel even presents you with the option to turn ligatures off although the possibility does not exist or that it doesn't trigger the switch that you are expecting?

    Probably a silly question on my behalf since I am not even sure if there are fonts that did not have a no-ligature option.

    I'm able to uncheck the box for showing ligatures when using the font in TextEdit. So I'm assuming it's a limitation of The Archive at the moment that's causing it not to work.
