Welcome!
I'm with you when it comes to optimizing acquisition workflows. Life is short. So many good books, and there is the FOMO. The discussion in the thread How I refined my Youtube knowledge acquisition turned me on to a way to 'optimize my knowledge acquisition" that has nothing to do with YouTube or capturing ideas but focuses on idea relationships. Knowledge acquisition is not all, only some about optimization. Slow meandering, daydreaming, and play have a place in knowledge acquisition. The keystone step in knowledge growth is finding relationships between new ideas and established ideas is what I'm trying to "optimize."
