Re: Where do you put to-do thoughts?
@prometheanhindsight, I used to keep them all over my zettelkasten, here, there and everywhere. I entered a #2do where ever I was when the idea for a #2do seemed appropriate. I used a 'Saved Search' to group them for review and action. This seemed, after a time, to be a bit messy. So, I made a note called My Knowledge… -

Re: Where do you put to-do thoughts?
Idea capture is a separate thing from to do capture but both are important if for nothing else than keeping your cognitive pressure low. @ctietze describes using a 'trusted system' for this above. Idea capture goes in the zettelkasten. To do capture goes in the journal, calendar, task manager, or on a scrap of handly… -

Re: Am I polluting my Zettelkasten?
I didn't mention that the #2do tag is interspersed in my archive in the relevant note not all listed on the same note. Each of these notes has… -
Re: Zettel Crafting Checklist v.3
I should always be prefixing my post with caveats. I like to write. It is how I think. I'm not too good at either, and I blame my DNA. I think with a keyboard under my fingers, and I read with a pen in my hand. I don't know what I think until I write, which sometimes leads to unclear arguments and contradictions. Oh well.… -

Zivon at 3 months Maya looks angelic as opposed to he who is possessed!. Here is a rundown of my Saved Searches and how they fit my workflow. These two are the most used. First up is what I call my Worklist. This includes all the notes that are in the process of creation. Examples include; class notes, book structure notes… -
Re: Mathematical definition of Folgezettel
@ZettelDistraction, thanks for sharing your ideas about a checklist. Below is my note on this topic with revisions spurred by your example. I am thinking in the context of a simplified workflow. I create notes exclusively using the templating the software stack I use allows. It provides an algorithmically based choice for… -
Re: How do you handle research "to dos"?
@blundin, you ask a hard question. The method I'm experimenting with is to use tags. Currently, I only use two #2do & #done, but I can envision expanding the tags to refine the work wanting attention. As an example, #reseach-project-2do. I don't put these tags in the front matter. I put them interstitially in the note…
