Markdown comments?

I noticed comments are included in the JSON theme files. Comments aren't part of the "standard" markdown definition. How are comments defined in "The Archive" app? Or do comments here refer to something else?

Comments are not part of Markdown because they are part of HTML (which Markdown allows (more or less) anywhere).

HTML being HTML, comments look like HTML tags with angle brackets:

<!-- Comment -->

(I have a macro to insert the <!-- in front and the --> in the back )

You can also use ⌘+/ in The Archive to comment-out the selection or insert a comment for you.
