Completion of version 1 roadmap

The Archive is the best note-taking app that I can find. One of The Archive's attractions is its stability and limited feature set. However, according to The Archive's "About" rubric, the last update was in 2019, and I was wondering when the Version 1 roadmap will be completed. I'm particularly interested in the promised tag index. Do you have any word on this?

If by update, you mean version 2, then it has been a while. But @ctietze is regularly publishing out new versions of The Archive with additional capabilities (every month or so?). I would be happy to see a tag index as well, but @Will does have a keyboard maestro macro that does the same thing.

No, I'm referring to the version 1 "roadmap", which promised a tag index — see here

I didn't realise. I got the 2019 date from the copyright information shown on the menu item: The Archive > About The Archive. I've included a screenshot below.

From looking at the release notes, version 1.7.7 (the version I am on) was released in 2022. So, it's just the copyright information hasn't been updated.

When I try to update the app, I'm told version 1.7.7 is the latest version. I'm assuming that's because the next three updates were beta versions. However, the latest update, version 1.7.11, seems to be a regular update. Does anyone know how I can install that update? Do I need to reinstall the software to skip the beta versions?

To select whether you want the current stable version or the beta version, select from the drop down menu, The Archive....Settings....General, then pick either "Stable Releases" or "Cutting Edge Releases". Then, again from the drop down menu, select The Archive....Check for Updates....

2019 was the copyright date given in version 1.7.7. Thanks to @GeoEng, I'm now on version 1.7.11. The copyright date is now given as 2022.

Great. Good to hear. There's no rush, but is there a rough timescale for completing the version 1 roadmap?
