Thanks - I think I saw this before I decided to start LaTeX-Zettel. I couldn't very easily follow the documentation so wasn't able to get much from the forester project. Earlier I mentioned that I would include my Zettel format, obtained after the usual futzing, second guessing, backtracking and compulsive oversharing common among ZK-maniacs. Re: Quick insertion of tags with type-ahead search (using Keyboard Maestro)
Rather than use a "Hot Key Trigger" use "Typed String Trigger". It will activate the macro after removing the "#" typed string, leaving "#example_tag". -

Gents - this macro works like a charm, but I have one problem. I initiate the macro by typing #, which seems to result in the following tag once I search and hit enter: ##example_tag. Did anyone else not have that problem or are you using a different trigger? Thanks in advance! -

I have over 1000 notes and not one repeating hash symbol I think I know what you are referring to. The repeated hash symbols are for the different levels in an outline list. They are for visual formatting…
